About Our Grounds

Where the River
Writes the Story

Abalone Point Campground sits on the banks of the Eel River in Mendocino County, a place where old-growth trees cast long shadows and the only thing louder than the river is the silence between moments.

Whether you're rolling up in an RV, pitching a tent under the stars, or settling into one of our rustic cabins, you'll find everything you need right here — and everything you came for just outside the gate. We've been welcoming guests to this stretch of the California coast for decades, and we still believe there's no better way to experience Mendocino than from the ground up.
